The Mumbai Railways, the life-line of Mumbai, at times causes pain to day-to-day commuters due to frequent disturbances in services. Currently, all trains on the Harbour Lines starting from Mumbai CST are affected following a technical snag at Wadala.
According to sources, no trains are currently running on the harbour line – either towards Vashi-Panvel or Andheri route, due to the technical snag at Wadala.
People headed towards home after office-hours are likely to be inconvenienced due to disturbance in rail services.
Just yesterday, services on the Western Railway were affected in morning peak hours owing to derailment of mail bogey at Lower Parel.
Also, the Western Railway has taken repair work at Andheri Harbour line platform due to which few trains orginating from Andheri towards Churchgate and Mumbai CST have been cancelled.
In yet another instance, a portion of platform slab collapsed at Vasai on Tuesday, resulting in passengers falling into the drain.
