Mumbai: The Commissioner of Mumbai Police can sit satisfied after seeing the exemplary performance of his force during the torrential rains that lashed the city on Tuesday. For once Mumbaikars seemed unanimous for the coordinated efforts of the police force for streaming complaints, calls for help and tweets of being stuck with the police connecting them to their force deployed on the roads. Over 120 police personnel were monitoring the control room and the Twitter handle.

Below are some notable tweets.

It was a minute by minute run down for the police personnel who worked round the clock. With every call for help they connected the details of the person stuck or who needed help. In many cases the social media team asked the person to send their contact details on direct mail. These calls for help were directed to the control room. In case they needed help of the fire brigade, BMC and other agencies, they provided the numbers.
