Mumbai: A mega block is scheduled for Sunday 27 November 2016, on the Central line and Harbour line, will be undertaking maintenance work on track and overheaded equipment.
The mega block on Central line will be from 9 am to 4 pm between Matunga to Mulund. Hence, fast and semi fast train towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) will be diverted on down slow line and halt at all stations between Matunga and Mulund. Trains between Sion and Mulund station are likely to run 20 minutes behind schedule, due to the mega block.
All Up (towards Kalyan) fast and semi trains will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla between 10.46 am to 3.18 pm. The trains in the Up direction are expected to reach its destination 15 minute behind scheduled time.
All long distance trains leaving CST Mumbai and Dadar during the block period will be diverted on Down slow line between Matunga and Mulund.
The Up and Down Harbour line service will be fully closed between 11.10 am to 4.10 pm between Nerul and Mankhurd during the mega block period. Down services from Panvel, Belapur and Vashi towards CST leaving between 10.11 am to 3.29 pm and Up services for CST leaving Panvel, Belapur, Vashi between 10.29 am to 3.46 pm stand cancelled due to the planned work schedule.
However, as an additional measure for the convenience of the rail commuters, special services will be run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai-Mankhurd and Thane-Panvel during the block period.
Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Trans Harbour / Main line from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm on their valid tickets, during the course of the mega block.
