Mumbai: Come February 10-11, Dadar will witness its eighth edition of Goa Festival. The two-day festival will be held in Dr Antonio D’silva Technical High School. The festival will comprise of various Goan cultural activities which will be organised by ‘Aamhi Goenkar’, a Dadar-based association. Social worker Mangal Wagde will inaugurate the fest.
The festival will be open for 12 hours from 10 am to 10 pm on both the days. Entry will be open for everyone free of cost. Around 50 stalls will display Goan delicacies, including different varieties of fish dishes, which people can savour while exploring the festival. People can also witness art and artefacts showcasing the history and importance of Goa.
Talent hunts and singing competition will also be staged in the festival. Other activities will include Konkani speaking competition, exploring Konkani literature, ‘Gazali and Geeta’, culinary competition, and healthiest baby competition, etc, etc.
