Mahila Raj in Mumbai for BMC poll 2017


Mumbai: The Brihan Mumbai Corporation poll was on  21st February 2017 in Mumbai. The BMC was having a 227 seat in which 114 seat was reserved for women’s candidate. In open categories 60 per cent women was electing from different wards in Mumbai. That means again women’s will be ruled in BMC.

In 2012, BMC election women’s candidate on 50 per cent candidates was reserved in which 121 women MLA candidate and 106 men’s MLA was elected in last poll.

For the first time in Mumbai 121 women’s Candidate becomes a MLA and Snehal Ambekar becomes a Mayor of Mumbai. The Deputy Mayor of Mumbai is from BJP because it was alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena that days.

The date of result is on 23rd February 2017.
