Mumbai: Maharashtra Cabinet on Tuesday approved 27 amendments to its procurement policy being implemented since November last year. The policy pertained to procurements of different materials in various government offices, undertakings and autonomous institutions. An official in the Chief Minister’s office said District Collectors, Zilla Parishad CEOs and other concerned authorities brought to the notice of industry department certain difficulties in the implementation. “About 41 suggestions were made by different authorities and Chief Secretary took a review of these suggestions. Accordingly, 27 suggestions were approved and the amendments would be made in the policy,” the official said.
