Mumbai: On Tuesday, At Borivali station, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has inaugurated passenger amenities like Skywalk, Foot Over Bridge (FOBs) escalators, booking offices and Passenger Reservation Centre (PRS) counter at stations.
The Foot Over Bridge is connected from the platform no 7 to platform no 1 which is link to skywalk , local bridge. Prabhu’s also gifted a lift to commuter to come down from the bridge to platform no 1. Outside the station, near local bridge many hawkers were seen seated near the staircase.
A you can see in the pictures, the small type garden was made at that bridge were hawkers used to seat at that place. Soon facilities will be constructed vertically inside the station premises like multiplexes, shopping complex and hotels. The tenders for the same have been floated two months back. The facilities will open for public use by 2020.
Due to crowd, common people face so much problem to get outside from the station. Its get very difficult to come from platform no 7 to platform no 1. Now you have a so many option to go Borivali East to West or at Platform no 7 or 8.
During Railway Budget and Union Budget, Finance Minister had announced to renowned 25 station in india, in which total 5 station are Mumbai Central, Bandra, Borivali, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, and, Thane are included.
