Crimes against children: Now, 4-year-old sexually assaulted by guard in Bengaluru school


While the Ryan International School murder is still raging, another incident of horrible incident in a school has popped out. Now, a 4-year-old girl student studying in private school in Bengaluru was allegedly sexually assaulted in the school premises on Tuesday.

According to a report in NDTV, a member of the school’s support staff sexually assaulted the girl student. The entire incident was reported to police after the child returned home on Tuesday and complained of pain. Doctors from the MSR Ramaiah Hospital have confirmed that she has been sexually assaulted. All the five guards of the school have been detained by the police, after receiving the complaint from the victim’s parents.

A report in New Indian Express has said that the security guard who assaulted the girl in the school’s toilet was arrested. The police have arrested Obelesh, a 25-year-old security guard from the school in connection with the crime. Obelesh is charged under relevant sections of POSCO.

The girl had fallen ill during class and had vomited. A teacher had then reportedly cleaned her up. Following this, she went to the toilet along with her friends. The girl after returning home complained to her mother that she had stomach pain, after which her parents took her to hospital, where doctor indicated that the girl must have been sexually assaulted. After the girl’s parents filed a complaint at Bagalagunte police station.

The girl’s parents and other locals gathered outside the school late on Tuesday night for a protest. According to reports, the police had to resort to mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowd.
