A booze party turns ugly, construction worker beaten to death


A booze party turned nightmare for construction worker, when he was beaten to death and his friend is seriously injured. A 33-year-old worker was beaten to death in Mira Road Sheetal nagar area at 10.30 pm by his colleagues.

After the incident police arrested Kamlesh Chaurasiya (31). His brother Ashok Chaurasiya is still at large. The deceased has been identified as Rajan Meshram (33), native of village Amravati.

The reason behind the fight is not known but police says that Rajan was so brutally beaten that he died on the spot and his friend is admitted to hospital in critical condition.

According to mid-day, police inspector (Crime), Vasant Labdhe said, “Based on information provided by an eye-witness, our team arrested Kamlesh. He has been remanded to police custody till May 26. A case has been registered under section 302 of IPC. The other accused will be nabbed soon.”
