Mumbai : A 46-year-old man was found murdered in Mankhurd on Saturday morning. Bakhruddin Shaikh (46) was found dead at his rented flat at Sai Krupa society in PMGP colony, Mankhurd. Shaikh, who runs a printing press at Mankhurd, had returned home on Friday at 8 pm and was alone at his residence since Friday night. When Shaik’s wife, Noor, returned home on Saturday morning at 10 am, she was shocked to find the dead body of her husband. The door was locked from inside. There were injury marks on his face and head.
The woman alarmed the neighbours who informed the police about the indicent. Bakhruddin was staying at the apartment since August 2. The flat belongs to Ashiwini Gaikwad, who was arrested earlier by the Mankhurd police for cheating.
According to Nitin Bobade, senior PI, “We have registered a case of murder against an unidentified person. We are suspecting that the accused had hit Bakhruddin on his head with a sharp object and he was later suffocated to death with a pillow.”
