Mentally challenged children enthrall audience during Ullas- 2013


Ujjain: Mentally challenged students of different schools presented enthralling cultural performances during the concluding programme of two- day- long ‘ Ullas- 2013’ organised at Manovikas special school here on Saturday under the aegis of MP Disable Help Committee.

About 350 challenged children of 16 cities of the state participated in the programme. They performed dance, group dance, solo singing, group singing, play and others during the programme. They performed plays in disguise of animals to teach lessons of humanity.

Vikram University V- C TR Thapak was chief guest while Municipal Speaker Sonu Gehlot, UDA vicechairman Anil Firozia and joint director Social Justice Department RK Joshi were special guests on this occasion. Dr Sebastian Veddekel presided over the programme. Children who won the contests were awarded prizes by the guests.

Manovikas Special School, Ujjain, Manovikas Vocational Training Centre, Subhash Nagar, Manovikas Community Centre, Manovikas Samarth Centre, Prem Sagar Special School Khilchipur, Meghdoot Hostel, Ujjain, Navjyoti Special School, Shajapur, Navjeevan Integrated Training Centre, Shujalpur, Udan Integrated Training Centre, Agar, Prempragati Special School, Rajgarh, Sevadham Ashram Ujjain, Nirmal Jyoti Special School, Mandsaur and others participated in the programme.
