Coimbatore: PMK today demanded a white paper on implementation of various schemes announced by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in 2012 under the ‘Vision 2023’ programme. Speaking to reporters here, PMK founder convenor Dr S Ramadoss alleged that none of the various schemes announced by Jayalalithaa under the programme had so far been implemented in the last two years. Bringing out a white paper will help throw light on its implementation, he said.
He was here to review the preparedness of party’s Kongu Zone conference on July 12 and hold discussions with office bearers of six districts coming under the Zone (Western Tamil Nadu).
Alleging that industrial development in Tamil Nadu had taken a step back, he said many industries were migrating to Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Telangana and AP were weaning away industries from the state by providing attractive schemes and concessions and the Tamil Nadu government had failed to prevent it, he alleged.
On the R K Nagar bypoill, where Jayalalithaa won by a record margin, Ramadoss said the opposition had in one voice called for removal of Chief Electoral Officer, Sandeep Saxena. Otherwise, the 2016 Assembly elections would not be free and fair, he said.
On the increasing incidents of mercy killing and caste murders, he said an awareness should be created among the general public.
