Ujjain: A workshop of mayor and coroprators was organised on Tuesday at the office of Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC). In her address mayor Meena Jonwal stated that in 2018 Ujjain will stand first in the country’s cleanliness inspection with the support of city dwellers.
She said that more facilities will also be provided to sanitation staff. She informed that 30 new vehicles will be deployed for garbage collection in the city while new machines for sewer cleaning are being purchased. During the workshop solid waste management, garbage collection and its transportation were screened in the hall through a projector.
On this occasion municipal commissioner Vijay Kumar J, members of mayor in council (MIC) Kalawati Yadav, Satyanarayan Chouhan, Radheshyam Verma, leader of opposition Rajendra Vashishtha, Azad Yadav, Maya Trivedi, Buddhiprakash Soni, Arti Guru, Pramila Meena and Santosh Vyas, Nilurani Khatri, Durga Singh, Yogeshwari Rathore and Mangilal Kadel were present along with staff members.
