Ujjain: SAPAKS members gathered at Chaardham Temple on Sunday morning and held a rally against the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe Atrocities Act. SAPAKS members have been demanding to get rid of caste wise reservation, advocating the reservation system based on economic status of the candidate.
SAPAKS office bearers Arvind Chandel, Ajendra Trivedi, PC Dwivedi, Amitoj Bhargava and Nirbhay Nirdosh said the government should rethink the bill which has been recently passed in the parliament. The rally passed through Mahakal, Patni bazaar, Kanthal , Naisadak and reached Tower square where the office bearers of SAPAKS addressed the audience and shared their views on misuse of the act and appealed to the Government to support the rulings of the apex court.
Karni Sena protest against caste wise reservation
Karni Sena will take out a grand rally on Thursday to protest against the bill passed by the parliament to amend Scheduled caste scheduled tribe Atrocities Act. According to Karni Sena State head Jeevasingh Sherpur, over two lakh members will take part in the rally which will pass through main roads across the city and reach Samajik Nyay Parisar located at Agar Road.
The organisation will also submit a memorandum in the name of the President of India in the interest of justice and the nation. Karni Sena is also demanding to remove the provisions of instant arrest without any investigation to ward off misusing of the law.
The State head also informed that national head Sukhdevsingh and vice president Rajsingh Shekhawat and other office bearers will participate in the rally. District head JairajsinghLakhaheda, Hemantsingh, YadvendrasinghTomar and ShailendrasinghJhala were present during the meeting with other members of the organisation.
