Ujjain: A meeting of the district administration and Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee was held on Monday to formulate strategies to facilitate devotees on the festival of Nagpanchami. Devotees will pay their obeisance at the Nagchandreshwar temple in the premises of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple.
Administrator Abhishek Dube informed that devotees will enter from Begumbag and go to the Nagchandreshwar Temple via Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Mahakalpuram Maidan, MadhavsevaNyas parking facility center hall and Narsingh mandir.
After Narsingh mandir devotees will also have to pass through a zigzag route in the temple premises. However, devotees who have purchase VIP entry tickets on paying Rs 250 per head will make entry from the Shakhdwar. Devotees will only be allowed in the queue to view Nagchandreshwar temple till 10 pm.
The MTMC will also setup missing person information counters around the temple areas. New parking plan and traffic plan made especially for this occasion will come into force from Tuesday evening to ward off traffic jams in surrounding areas of the temple, Dube said.
MTMC will also setup VIP ticket counters at Begumbag Tiraha, Harsiddihi square and Maharajwada school premises. Primary health care centers will also be setup at Mahakalpuram, facility center and the temple premises. Ambulance facilities will also be available here.
On the festival of Nagpanchami, the doors of Nagchandreshwar temple will be opened after a gap of one year for only twenty four hours. The door will open on Tuesday midnight which and be closed on Wednesday midnight. Devotees can visit the temple during these 24 hours.
Collector and head of MTMC Manish Singh and Mahant Prakashpuri will participate in ‘trikal-pooja’ of Lord Nagchandreshwar. The district administration will also perform worship on Wednesday on behalf of the State Government.

According to MTMC spokes person over 2000 devotees poured water on Shivling before starting the ‘bhasmarti’. huge queues were seen at Shri Mahakaleshwar temple on Monday. Queue of general devotees was very long whereas devotees with VIP fee travelled a shorter rout to make their entry in the temple.
