Ujjain: Non-government schools to remain closed today

Ujjain: State organisation of non-government schools has called for a state wide ‘bandh’ on Tuesday in support of their demands. District organisation has called a meeting on Monday to formulate the plan for peaceful protest scheduled on Tuesday.

Members informed that a memorandum will be submitted to collector, addressed to Chief Minister, during the protest and all non-governmental schools will remain closed. Organisation member Amit Mehta informed about the demands like confirmation of affiliation of 1500 high/higher secondary schools, payment of RTE students which is pending for last two years, cancellation of necessary requirement of one acre land for high/higher secondary schools and several other demands will be incorporated in the memorandum.
