Ujjain: Devotees immerse Ganesha idols on Anant Chaturdashi

Ujjain: On the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi idols of lord Ganesh were immersed with traditional rituals and prayers on Tuesday. According to organizers of Ganesh Utsava Committee, Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) blocked roads leading to Triveni Ghat, Gaughat, Mangalnath Ghat, Siddhanath Ghat, Dutt-akhada Ghat, Sunahari Ghat and Narsing Ghat so that four wheelers do not create bottlenecks there. On the contrary the UMC claimed that all the arrangements were made at all the banks (ghats) of river Kshipra for devotees to immerse Ganesh idols. According to the officials of UMC tents, light and sound arrangements were made at the main immersion pond located at Hira Mill area.
