As the heat turns up and summer splurges in, Lakme Fashion Week paves way for more hotness in its couture on the runway. Day 4 saw some young buzz and aged glamour of Bollywood that got spectators applauding with delight. From the upcoming rebel Shraddha Kapoor to the evergreen fashionista Helen, we take you through designers and stars that sizzled on the ramp.
Sonal Varma and her label ‘Rara Avis’ was a truly blissful floral fantasy. The collection was called ‘Fleurir’ the fresh as the spring flower line, had a fragrant fashion scent about it, as the models glided down the ramp.
Making a stunning debut Shriya Bhupal’s ‘Shriya Som’ label collection ‘Ebb and Flow’ offered a variety of fashion statements. From a mix of sheer and opaque fabrics, to strong and flowing shapes, the line moved to fringes and floral contrasts.
Ujjwala Raut the gorgeous international super model, glided in a gold beaded off-shoulder long sleeve blouse with a floor sweeping lehenga. Encrusted with 1500 gold paillete, 60 rose gold Swarovski flowers and a gold fringe, the creation was breathtaking with a five feet trail.
Farah Sanjana’s new collection ‘TALES FROM THE DEEP’, was an extremely modern take on today’s style trends.
Actor Gautam Gulati who will soon be seen in Azhar movie, scorched the ramp for the designer.
Actress Swara Bhaskar and Priyanka Bose were seen supporting the designer seated in the front row.
Payal’s collections are always an intriguing mix of shapes, geometric lines, symmetry angles and asymmetry that seem to seamlessly come together.
Splashing the runway with a burst of numerous hues, Siddhartha Bansal epitomized his design story with crafty prints and embroideries in fluid silhouettes and timeless creations for men and women. The collection called “Doors” depicted the osmosis between two culturally rich nations.
Shivan and Naresh
Designers Shivan & Narresh known for their fun beach and holiday wear created their magic on the ramp that was inspired by French painter Fernand Léger’s cubist work; the top beach wear designers unveiled their ‘Léger Leisure’ line.
