Indore: The financial capital of state is catching the attention of foreign countries as overseas fliers from the city and the region are increasing steadily. This is evident as European countries, one after another, are organising Visa Facility Services (VFS) through mobile biometric camps in the city. United Kingdom (UK) and Schengen countries will organise VFS camps in the city next month for fifth and sixth time respectively.
British High Commission in India has announced to organise its next mobile biometric camp for visa in the city on March 10. This will be its fifth such camp in the city. Similarly, Schengen countries have also announced to organise their sixth VFS camp in city on March 23. Both the camps will be organised at Overseas Travels located in Vijay Nagar. Schengen countries consists of 26 nations -Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Hamendra Singh Jadon, director Overseas Travels, told this correspondent that UK and Schengen countries have announced dates for holding their mobile biometric camp in the city. Owing to increasing number of visa seekers from Indore region, European countries are extending their visa facility services to the city.
The camp for Visa Facility Service (VFS) organised by Swiss embassy in the city on Tuesday received huge response.
Forty seven visa applications were processed on Tuesday and two officials from the Swiss embassy had come to city for this purpose. Besides Indore, people from Mhow and Ujjain had attended the camp, where their visa applications were processed in 10 minutes.
