Indore: Crime Round Up: Woman robbed at knife point

Indore: A woman from Mandsaur was robbed by rickshaw driver near Lal Bagh Palace on Saturday. According to police, the complainant Durga Bhati, resident of Sudama Nagar was returning home from railway station in an autorickshaw from Island Platform situated at Park Road, when the driver took a long route and stopped the near an isolated area to rob her of at knife point. According to reports, the accused looted gold earrings, necklace, anklet and Rs 2,000 cash from the victim. Police have registered a case in the incident.

Thieves attack security guard

Thieves attempted burglary and attacked security guard near Agrawal Nagar on late Saturday night. According to Kanadia police, the victim Bablu Lal a resident of Chouhan Nagar is a security guard at the township, who saw the thieves and confronted them. The thieves started pelting stones and beating him, causing severe injuries. The thieves fled when alarmed local residents approached. The police sent Bablu to hospital for treatment and are investigating the incidence.


Plaint against sarpanch’s hubby

A trader registered a complaint against a sarpanch’s husband for extortion near Shipra on Saturday. According to police, the complainant Dinesh, a resident of Arjun Baroda reported that Mayaram, Toofan Singh, Anil and Ramlal, all residents of village Hatuniya stopped his supply truck and demanded money in name of royalty. Dinesh’s driver Ravi, resident of Shankargadh, Dewas informed the complainant about the matter. When Dinesh denied paying money the accused started beating him. Police have registered a case in the incident.

Infant dies in unusual tragedy

A 15-day-old infant girl died accidentally near Sanjay Gandhi Nagar on Saturday. According to police, the infant Kavya was sleeping on the floor when her elder sister accidentally fell on her while playing, causing suffocation leading to her death. The police have sent the body for autopsy and have started their investigation.
