GST effect: Bars and restaurants will shut before mid-night on June 30

Restaurants that otherwise close at 1.30 am especially on Friday on account of being a good business day, will either shut around 11.30 p.m or take orders only until midnight.

Mumbai serial blasts case convict Mustafa Dossa today died of cardiac arrest at the JJ Hospital here, hours after he was rushed there due to chest pain. According to Hospital Dean TP Lahane, Dossa, died at 2.30 pm due to cardiac arrest. Dossa (60), who was convicted along with five others in second leg of the trial in the 1993 serial blasts case, was admitted to the jail ward of the hospital around 3 AM today. He was a close aide of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim.


Man thrashed in Jharkhand, house set ablaze after dead cow found
A man of Beria Hatiatand village in Jharkhand’s Giridih district was thrashed and a part of his house was set ablaze by a mob after a dead cow was reportedly found outside his house on Tuesday. Usman Ansari was attacked after some villagers found the dead cow outside his house. By the time the police reached the spot, the incident had ended and Ansari and his family were rescued and taken to hospital. Police had to open fire in the air to disperse the stone pelting crowd.

 Operations at JNPT terminal affected by cyber attack, confirms government
The government today confirmed that one of the terminals at the JNPT port has been impacted by the latest malware attack. “The (shipping) ministry has confirmed that one terminal at JNPT has been affected due to the attack at Maersk’s Hague office,” an official said, adding that the government will share a report or a statement as soon as it comes to this effect. Maritime conglomerate Maersk group confirmed that its operations were hit by the cyber attack. “We can confirm that on Tuesday, June 27, AP Moller-Maersk was hit as part of a cyber attack named Petya, affecting multiple sites and select business units,” Maersk said in a tweet.
