Mandsaur: District project committee meeting which was chaired by state woman and child minister and Mandsaur district in charge minister Archana Chitnis witnessed high voltage drama here in Mandsaur on Friday. According to information, Congress MLA Hardeep Singh Dang from Suwasara assembly constituency boycotted meeting and walked out of the meeting hall after an argument with Chitnis over some trivial issue, followed by a BJP district panchayat member Amarlal Meena from Bhanpura village. Dang and Meena claimed that the minister’s arrogant attitude forced them to take the step.

Dang said that the minister never listens to anyone during the meeting, but only imposes her own view on others which is not good for any public representative.  Dang said that Rs 80 lakh has been sanctioned for development of sports ground at Nahargarh about three-year ago, but the project is yet to start.

“Health services here in the district are not up to the mark and whenever this issue is raised in the meeting, she ignores it. She is not even ready to listen to issues related to farmers of the area which witnessed death of six farmers in a firing incident in first week of June this year,” Dang added.

As Dang was narrating the plight of people in the area, Meena also expressed his anger at in charge minister’s attitude and sat on dharna outside district collector’s office. Meena informed that even after raising complaint against one of the engineers of water resource department posted here at Bhanpura twice, in charge minister repeatedly ignored his complaint. Janpad panchayat member said that the engineer was posted at his native village, which is against the government service norms.

Even his attitude towards villagers and farmers is not good as a result of that, over 500 farmers are adversely affected. Meena requested administration to post some other engineer.  Meanwhile, Meena later had a close door discussion with in charge minister at circuit house.
