Indore : A woman conned a man into divulging his debit card details and withdrew Rs 7800 from his account. The woman allegedly posed as an employee of the State Bank of India and using the ruse of issuing a credit card obtained the details. A complaint has been filed with the cyber police, which are investigating the matter.
According to sources, Rajkumar Kajonia is employed at Pithampur. On Saturday, he filed a complaint with the cyber police that the woman identified as Sakshi and employed with the SBI called him on April 16 and told him that the bank was issuing a credit card to him.
During the conversation, she gained Kanojia’s confidence and made him divulge details of his debit card. Later she withdrew Rs 7800 from his account and when he called her back, she assured him that the money would be remitted once the card processing is over. However, some time later he received a parcel containing belt, wallet and other male accessories and when he tried to contact her, her phone was found switched off.
