Unclean Hospital: Angry Dubey locks MY staffers in stinking toilet for two hours in Indore

Indore: Irked over poor sanitation in state-run MY Hospital, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey on Tuesday locked housekeeping supervisor and a woman employee in a dirty toilet for two hours as punishment.

He also ordered MY Superintendent Dr VS Pal to deduct a day’s salary of house-keeping supervisor, woman worker, floor in-charge and nurse concerned.

During the visit, Dubey also reviewed renovation work. While taking a round of the hospital he found ward numbers 16 and 17 dirty on the third floor. Irked, he ordered staff to lock housekeeping supervisor Awadesh Shukla and a woman employee in an unclean toilet. They were released after two hours.

“The Commissioner was not satisfied with cleanliness and punished the supervisor to teach him a lesson. He also ordered deduction of a day’s salary,” Dr Pal said.
