RTO seizes five JCBs for plying sans registration

Indore : The RTO on Wednesday seized five JCBs from Pithampur and nearby areas of the city. These vehicles were running without registration and depositing tax. The RTO officials sent the vehicles to Vijay Nagar RTO.

According to RTI Praveen Nahar, acting on a tip-off, the RTO team launched a drive against such vehicles in Pithampur and seized five vehicles.“About 135 JCBs and other vehicles have been seized in last few days. We have also seized a JCB which was sold in 2008 but it neither has registration number nor it deposited tax,” Nahar said.

He further said that they would launch a drive in the city. Generally, the drive was started at the end of fiscal but this time, we have started it early to meet the target.


The Regional Transport Department has also opened cash counters once again at Vijay Nagar and Kesar Bagh Road Offices.

These counters were closed after launching the facility of online payment. The facility has been started over the complaints of people as they have to pay Rs 40 as online charges even for paying Rs 100 only. RTO MP Singh was not available for commenting on the issue.
