Indore : With the arrest of three persons, the police claimed to have solved murder mystery of an elderly man, whose body was found at his house in Digvijay Singh Nagar area three days ago.

The police said that the accused trio were friends of the deceased and battered him to death over a dispute occurred during drinking.

Body of Mangilal Bhilla was found at his flat located in the IDA apartment.  Deep wounds were found in his head.

The murder surfaced when his son Kailash, who resides in the same apartment, went to see his father but found him in a pool of blood. He informed the police that his mother had gone to village to celebrate Rakhi and his father was all alone at the flat. He had no idea who killed his father.

He recalled that a day before his father was found murdered on August 11 he had asked to pay his dinner which he would eat with his friend Dariyab Singh.

The police had found many buds of bidi and liquor bottles from the deceased’s house and believed that he may have consumed liquor with some friends.

When police came to know that the deceased was with Dariyab, they arrested him along with two others Amar Singh and Leemji. When quizzed they confessed to have killed Mangilal. They informed the police that Mangilal had given some wooden logs to Dariyab some days back. He did not take money for the logs but on August 10 night asked Dariyab to bring liquor for him.

Dariyab refused and an argument ensued which soon turned violent.
