Indore: A chaos like situation prevailed in the District and Sessions Court on Monday when lawyers clashed with cops when the  latter were presenting four accused (eunuchs) before the court.

The lawyers alleged that the cops of MG Road PS thrashed them with sticks when they were protesting against the eunuchs, who threatened them during the hearing.

According to Advocate Dheeraj Dubey, the eunuchs, who had thrashed and injured an advocate Raghuvanshi during a brawl at a shop on Sunday, threatened the lawyers when they were trying to enter the court room.

“We asked the police to intervene in the matter but instead of protecting us, they beat us with sticks,” Dubey said.

Meanwhile, the cops said that the lawyers were trying to beat accused eunuchs when they were protecting them.

The police have not yet registered any case in the matter till the reports last came in. However, the lawyers staged a demonstration against the police action in the court’s premises.
