Indore: “ In order to be innovative, one has to take a few calculated risks,” said Director of IIM Indore, Rishikesha T Krishnan on the concluding day of the 8th International Conference held at Prestige Institute of Management & Research ( PIMR), on Friday.
Academicians and students from various parts of the country and abroad attended the conference and shared their views on the theme “ Managing people, processes and environment for global prosperity.” Krishnan was the chief guest for the valedictory session.
Addressing students and professionals, he stressed on the importance of innovation in nation building.“ One has to take a few calculated risks in order to be innovative.” The IIM director also laid stress on creating innovation capability in order to achieve global prosperity.
Pragya Narang, who is working in the area of brand consultancy and image training, was the key- note speaker on the concluding day of the conference. She expressed her opinion on changing mindset in order to achieve successful communication system for prosperity.
She emphasized on “ non tangible things like health, happiness and family system in achieving the prosperity.” “ Prosperity is not prosperity until it is shared by the whole society”. Former ambassador to the European Union ( EU), NP Jain, presented the prestigious ‘ PIMR Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Award’ to Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai adav. adav has set up ‘ Pragya Women Self- Help Group’ which is working for women empowerment and economic development of the society.
