Infant found abandoned

Indore : An infant in a polythene bag was found abandoned near a nullah near Hanuman temple at Sukhniwas Road on Saturday morning.

Hemant Kumar Sharma of FRV said a man heard a child crying near the nullah following which he found an infant inside an abandoned polythene bag. Local residents informed Rajendra Nagar police about the child following which the infant was taken to MY Hospital for treatment. The police are trying to trace the person who had abandoned the child.

Youth booked for molesting stepsister


A youth was booked for allegedly molesting his stepsister at Chandan Nagar on Friday. According to police, a woman alleged that her son molested her stepsister when she was alone at home. The scared victim raised an alarm following which the accused thrashed her. Later, the victim managed to escape and when her mother returned she informed her about the incident.

Girl molested

A youth was arrested by Khajrana police for allegedly molesting a girl on Friday late night.

The victim told police that she was living at her uncle’s house during her summer break when accused Anil Singh tried to talk to her. On refusing, the accused stopped the girl near her house and molested on Friday evening. The scared victim raised an alarm following which local residents intervened and the accused fled the scene. Later the girl informed her uncle about the incident who reported the matter to police following which the accused was arrested on Friday night.

Two bikers injured in accident

A 26-year-old youth and 55-year-old man were severely injured after an unidentified speeding vehicle hit their motorcycle at Kishanganj on Friday late night.

According to police, injured Jitendra and Madan were returning after a family gathering when a speeding vehicle lost control and hit them following which they fell into a pit. A commuter found the crashed bike after which he searched for the riders and found them in the pit seriously injured. He rushed them to MY Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
