Indore: Citing unforeseen reasons, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has postponed sixth semester exams of traditional undergraduate courses which were scheduled to start from April 22.
Now, the exams would commence on April 28. The DAVV had recently released examination timetable of sixth semester exams of BSc, BA, BCom stating that the exams would commence on April 22. But some unforeseen reasons forced the university to postpone the exams. “There were some administrative reasons which prompted us to postpone the UG sixth semester exams. But we made sure that the exams do not get much delayed. We extended the exams by a week,” deputy registrar (exams) Prajwal Khare said.
As per the new exams schedule, BCom exams would be held from 7 am to 10 am and BA exams from 11 am to 2 pm. Similarly, BSc exams would be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. Generally, even semester exams including of second, fourth and sixth are conducted together. But the university is not prepared to hold all the exams together this time so holding sixth semester exams first. “We are holding exams of sixth semester students first because we want to declare their results early. We are looking forward to declare results of sixth semester exams by June 15 so that students do not lose opportunity to apply for admission in post-graduate courses,” Khare said. The second and fourth semester exams timetable would be declared shortly. Khare signaled that the second and fourth semester exams may start by mid-May.
