Indore: Twitter is an interesting platform of word wizardry but it has become the international money game, especially for celebs, renowned columnist and novelist Shobhaa De, said. She was in city to attend a programme organised by FICCI Ladies Organisation on Wednesday.
Addressing media, De said that business managers are using Twitter for their profit as the tweets posted by many celebrities are not their own words but are of business managers used for promotion or propaganda.
“Twitter war was going on between two tennis players but two cricketers and their followers too joined them and made it a game.” She said. Talking about controversies on her tweets, De said, “I use to say what I feel and do not care about controversies. I think I was also targeted by trolls because I do not belong to any political party and do not support any ideology.”
She said that if her tweet became a boon for a cop then it was great as he got the treatment. “I didn’t posted the photo to hurt anyone but it helped the cop and served the purpose,” De also commented that cows are more important in our country than women as people talk more about cows safety but not on women’s safety.
