Indore: Indoreans on Tuesday breathed a sigh of relief as clouds pulled the soaring daytime temperature down by two degrees Celsius from normal. Adding more to it, the evening saw light to moderate rains, raising the spirit of citizens upward. Temperature has gone southwards by three degrees in last three days. Meteorological department officials also predicted chances of rainfall in isolated places in and around the city.

However, the relief was initially short-lived, as night temperature increased by four degrees from normal temperature owing to the same clouds, but until the clouds opened up in the evening. “Day temperature dropped due to movement of clouds over the state owing to a system generated over Gujarat and western Madhya Pradesh. Chances of light rains are likely around the city and the temperature would remain same for the next couple of days,” met officials said.

They added that the sky would remain clear from October 13 and night temperature too will go down again to 16-18 degrees Celsius in coming days. The maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below normal while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius which was four degrees Celsius from the normal temperature. Meanwhile, residents didn’t leave any chance to enjoy the weather and planned to go for hangout as the city’s weather turned pleasant after a long time. Management student Husain Chakera said, “Cool breezes reeled the city after a long time and the weather turned irresistible to go out for a long drive.

Clouds gave the much needed relief from the October Heat.”

Communication student Aditya Tiwari too felt the same and said that he enjoyed the walk on city streets in the evening due to the pleasant weather.
