Mhow: In order to help students choose their best career and motivate them, a week-long career guidance and counselling programme commenced at Army Public School, here on Tuesday.
Officers informed that it is an initiative to guide the students towards a planned route of a career so that they may remain motivated and effective during the most difficult years of the school system. During the week-long activities, students will get acquainted with various vistas available in science, humanities and commerce streams.
During the first session the school counselor Rachel and Pramod Srivas threw light on the importance of the seminar and emphasised on the pointers for exploring avenues in career. The second session was conducted by Prof Amol Mishra, an expert in humanities from Renaissance College Indore. He enlightened the students of Class XI pertaining to selection of streams and career respectively. He was accorded a warm welcome by the principal Pramod Tiwari and the vice principal SK Choudhary.
The students came to know about the availability of numerous career options available in journalism, hotel management, psychology, economics, banking, law, civil service, theatre, career in writing. He also emphasised on personality development, one’s academic potential, expectation, talent, interest, while choosing a course at the right time. Later the counseling session for Class XII humanities stream was organised. The students interacted with the counselor and clarified their doubts and queries.
