Indore: Sayaji Square: Wrong parking leads to jams

Indore: Though Sayaji Square is one of the busiest crossings, driving through it in the evening is an uphill task for commuters. Passenger buses and other vehicles use this crossing very frequently. The square witnesses regular traffic jams and people say illegal parking is the culprit.. Commuters say operators of long-route buses park their vehicles for half-an-hour on this road to take passengers causing traffic mess. Mishaps are very common here. Local police and administrative officials keep their eyes closed and hardly take any action. Several travel agency offices are located here and buses of these agencies use to park on the main road to pick-up passengers. Along with illegal parking of buses, visitors also park their four and two-wheelers near Bhandari Hospital opposite to Sayaji Hotel square causing massive traffic jams. But, local police administration does not take any action against the violators for illegal parking.
