Indore: Poor continues to suffer while defaulters roam freely


Dhar/Garoth: A large ‘Jan Akrosh’ rally was organised by Congress on Monday to protest Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetisation move which has left the nation paralysed.

The rally passed through main routes of the town, culminating at Rajwada.

Addressing the gathering, Congress minority committee president, Mujeeb Qureshi said “The decision was taken without sufficient preparation and should be rolled back.”

According to MLA Balmukund Singh Gautam, the poor continue to suffer even more while defaulters still roam freely.

Former councillor Gajendra Singh Rajukhedi and a large number of Congress supporters also participated in the rally.

Meanwhile, Garoth Block Congress Committee also took out a ‘Jan Akrosh’ rally on Monday to express their resentment against PM’s demonetisation policy.

Committee members protested at Aspatal Square from where the rally proceeded to bus stand Vijay Stambh. According to information, a meeting was held at the place where members signed a petition addressed to the President.

Block president Vijay Patidar, former municipality president Kachru Lal Magar and a large number of party supporters were also present on the occasion.
