Indore: Madhya Pradesh bagged the award for best state for organ donation and Indore’s Choithram Hospital bagged the best emerging hospital award.
The award has been given by National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation and Union Health Ministry during a function in New Delhi on the 7th National Organ Donation Day, on Wednesday. Divisional Commissioner, Indore Sanjay Dubey received the award as the State representative in the programme.
Another award for best emerging hospital in organ donation and transplant was bagged by Choithram Hospital for its commendable work in organ donation and transplant. The award on behalf for the hospital was received by director of health services, Dr Sunil Chandiwal.
‘Green Corridors’ were prepared in the city for 13 times for speedy transportation of organs to give new lease of life to several people. The city is also getting ready for liver and heart transplant as three hospitals have received permission for liver transplant while one has got the permission for heart transplant.
