Indore: Disheartened over delay in disbursement of their pending dues, ex-workers of closed down Hukumchand Mill on Tuesday said that they would approach Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during Global Investors’ Summit and hand over a memorandum over the issue.
Around 250 workers had gathered at Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court which is trying a petition over delay in disbursement of dues.
The court on Tuesday extended the date in the case. After that the workers reached Regal Square and staged a sit-in there.
“Our pending dues are to be paid from money earned from selling land of the closed down mill. But all attempts of DRT
to auction land have failed as use of land has not been changed. We will raise the issue with CM during GIS,” said Indore Mill Mazdoor Sangh treasurer Harnam Singh Dhariwal.
