Indore: Dr HS Nayak is new Indore CMHO

Indore: In a major reshuffle of medical officers, the State Health Department on Monday transferred district immunization officer of Burhanpur Dr HS Nayak as the acting Chief Medical and Health Officer of Indore while transferred Dr Mahesh Malviya, health officer in Indore, as the Chief Medical and Health Officer of Mandsaur.

The department also ordered to relieve Joint Director Dr Sharad Pandit with immediate effect to join as the deputy director in Health Secretariat, Bhopal. Dr Pandit was transferred to Bhopal in May, 2015 but he had taken a stay from the court. After the hearing on October 13, the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court put down the plea of Dr Pandit after which the department released orders to relieve him with immediate effect. The department has already promoted incumbent acting Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Shantilal Porwal as the Joint Director of Indore Division.
