Indore: DAVV to bring more courses under CET, says Vice chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad


He signals at holding the national level entrance test in June

Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya would bring in more courses under the purview of Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted annually for admissions in professional courses offered by university teaching departments.

Vice chancellor Dr Narendra Dhakad said: “Apart from teaching departments which participate in CET, some more departments have wished to be part of this year’s exam. We will seek their expression of interest shortly in writing and bring their courses also under CET.”

The VC also stated that he would constitute organising committee of CET and appoint its chairman in a week or so.

“We are planning to conduct CET in first or second week of June. Soon the dates will be finalised,” he said.

Departments participated in CET-2016 were Institute of Management Studies, International Institute of Professional Studies, School of Commerce, School of Economics, School of Pharmacy, Electronic Multimedia Research Centre, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Law, School of Life Science, School of Electronics and School of Bio-Chemistry.

The test last year was held at eight cities Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Raipur, Kolkata, New Delhi and Allahabad.
