Indore: Anxious over arrest of Delhi Public School principal Sudarshan Sonar in connection with the bus accident case, over 200 teachers and management officials of the school reached collector office on Tuesday and demanded relief to their imprisoned colleague. The large delegation wanted to meet collector Nishant Warwade to seek his favour in the regard but only five people were allowed inside to talk to the collector.
During the five-minute dialogue, the teachers demanded the collector to reduce the IPC sections imposed on Sonar, grant him bail and provide him VIP facilities till the time he would be in jail. The delegation even suggested the accused principal could have been put under house arrest than behind the bars.
However, the collector made it clear to the teachers that he would not grant any relief to the jailed principal and they must approach court to get any. Administrative sources informed that the collector was quite unhappy with the arrogant attitude and audacious demands of the visiting teachers and DPS administration.
