Choithram Hospital and Research Centre organised an awareness programme on the eve of World Arthritis Day on Thursday. The programme, a walk, was inaugurated by hospital director Dr Sunil Chandiwal. Choithram Hospital’s rheumatologist Dr Rituja Purswani addressed the gathering on rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and other diseases.
She also gave details about the main symptoms of arthritis and new methods of its treatment. About 100 patients and their family members took part in this walk. Hospital deputy director Dr Amit Bhatt informed that the hospital is organising a free six-day health check-up camp for arthritis patients which started from Thursday.
The patients can get themselves registered for free during this camp and they will be given discounts on arthritis related investigations. Vote of thanks was proposed by hospital assistant director Anil Kumar Lakhwani.
