Indore: Attach property of loan defaulters says Collector


RAISEN: At a meeting held at the collectorate on Wednesday, the collector Bhavna Valimbe directed that FIRs be registered against the officials of different branches of district co-operative central bank who have been found involved in cases of misappropriation of funds and cheating. She also said that the properties of the beneficiaries who are not repaying their loan installments should be attached.

She directed the banks to collect information about the movable and immoveable properties of the creditors whose loan accounts have been declared NPA and take action to attack their properties. SP Jagat Singh Rajput said that the bank managements should make all relevant documents available at the time of filing of FIRs so that quick action can be taken.

Besides reviewing old cases of default on payment on loans and misappropriation, cases pertaining to the land development bank were also reviewed. Among others, deputy commissioner, co-operatives K.V. Sorye, District Co-operative Bank general manager R.P. Hazari and manager of the land development bank, besides bank officers and thana in-charges were present.
