He took away jewellery for curing her ailment

Indore: Police arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly taking jewellery of a woman to cure her ailment. He was earlier arrested by the police for cheating people.

The police said Manju Singar of Bheel Colony had lodged a complaint with Chandan Nagar police that she along with her husband Goma met one Mohsin Baba of Chandan Nagar a few days back for curing her ailment and Mohsin even assured them that he would cure her ailment.

He took her jewellery but could not cure her using tantra. Later, Manju asked him to return her jewelry but he declined. Manju later lodged a complaint and the accused was booked.

On Tuesday, the accused was arrested from his residence in Chandan Nagar and jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh was recovered.

The police are now questioning Baba to know his involvement in other such cases.  During investigation, it was also found that Mohsin is a criminal and was earlier booked by the MIG police. He was also arrested by Chandan Nagar police under Section 420 of the IPC.
