Indore: Indore is known for its delicious food items and visitors to the Global Investor Summit (GIS-2016) would get an opportunity to tickle their taste buds.
During the Summit, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will host Silver Spoon lunch for 200 VVIP guests comprising industrialists, ministers, foreign delegates and bureaucrats.
Every GIS has its uniqueness. Following the tradition, the CM is hosting this time a gorgeous ‘Silver Spoon lunch’ on the inaugural day of the summit on October 22. The lunch will have several special features.
Bhandari Caterer will serve the food for lunch on October 22 and 23, while food for dinner of October 22 will be served by Aayojan Caterers. Dinner of October 21 will be served by Sayaji Hotels.
Santosh Bhandari of Bhandari Caterers said that they were given the responsibility for serving lunch on October 22 and 23. “We have chalked out entire planning. On October 22, besides serving lunch to all the visiting delegates, a special lunch would be prepared for the VVIP guests, which will be hosted by Chouhan to 200 selected industrialists, Union ministers, state ministers, foreign delegates and top bureaucrats.
Elaborating about the special features of the lunch, Bhandari said that October 22 Silver Spoon Lunch will be a five-course menu. There will be over 25 delicious food items. All food and drink items would be served in silver utensils except butter milk and lemon water.
Commissioner Sanjay Dubey and Commissioner, PR Anupam Rajan reviewed the preparations of Silver Spoon Lunch at Brilliant Convention Centre on Tuesday. They also tested food items to be served on October 22. They were accompanied by Collector P Narahari, IMC Commissioner Manish Singh and AKVN-Indore MD Kumar Purushottam.
CM to conduct bhumi pujan on Oct 20 and 21: Dubey
Talking to media, Dubey said that final schedule of the CM’s visit is yet to be finalised.
The CM will arrive here on October 20 and conduct bhumi pujan and inaugurate some of units and also dedicate some facilities at Pithampur.
13 probationary IAS officers reach city
At least 13 probationary IAS officers of 2015 batch of MP cadre landed here on Tuesday. They reached Brilliant Convention Centre and reported to Commissioner Dubey.
They are given different kind of responsibilities in the mega event. They will get training of organising events like GIS.
Talking to media persons, probationary IAS officer Rani Bansal, who is at present posted in Ujjain, said 13 probationary officers were deployed in the GIS and they were excited about the event.
