Pithampur: Collector Shukla held a meeting of all the concerned administrative officials, including SP Rajesh Hingadkar at Pithampur AKVN export building here on Monday to review the preparations of forthcoming visit of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Couhan.
Chouhan is scheduled to visit Pithampur on October 20, 2016, and in view of that collector reviewed the venue of the CM meeting and the also the helipad. MLA Nina Vikram Verma was especially present in the meeting and other officials including AKVN MD Kumar Purushottam, assistant collector Harsh Singh, SDM Jitendra Singh Chauhan, joint collector Shankarlal Singade, former municipal president Devendra Patel and officials of other departments were present as well.
During the meeting the arrangements of the proposed programmes by the CM were discussed and the responsibilities were assigned to the officials. It was announced during the meeting that the ground breaking ceremony and the general assembly will be conducted by the municipality at Chatrachaya Colony ground. The instructions for cleanliness of the venue were given to the municipality, whereas the responsibility of repairing the routes of VIP and preparation of the helipad was given to PWD.
The responsibility of providing fresh drinking water was given to Pithampur municipality and public health engineering department. Responsibilities were also assigned for stage preparations, fire fighter, ambulance, doctors, security and traffic control.
The launch and ceremonial activities of worth 140 crore are proposed by the municipality out of which 28.56 crore has been set aside for the launch and 111.47 crore for the ceremony.
Launch operations include water planning, boundary wall of ward number 6, rain shelter and CC Road among others. Other activities will include water supply scheme, bus stand, central lightings at Mhow Neemaj road, Sanjay reservoir development, extension in the pipelines of urban drinking water, office buildings and CC road.
