Indore : Separate cases were registered against two groups for fighting with each other at Hotel Apna Avenue near Janjeerwala Square on Friday night.

Neeraj Suri, a resident of Mangal Nagar, filed a complaint with police that Apna Avenue hotel manager Brijmohan Singh had a heated argument over timing of his function. Later, hotel owner Alok Dawar and his friend Lakshman arrived at the hotel and started fighting with Suri and his friends. Neeraj complained that the hotel staff and Dawar started beating him and misbehaved with women who were along with him.

Meanwhile, Dawar alleged that Suri and his friends thrashed the manager first. Police have registered separate complaints against both the groups and started investigation. Sources claimed that the women of Suri family staged a demonstration at the hotel who were later removed by the police.

However police claimed that no such incidence of misbehaviour with women took place and the dispute took place due to the timing of a programme. The investigation is underway into the case, police said.
