Shahabuddin sent to Delhi by train


Patna : RJD vice-president and former MP,Mohammad Shahbuddin whose transfer from Siwan central jail to Tihar jail in New Delhi was ordered by Supreme Court on February 15 is being taken to New Delhi by Sampoorna Kranti Express under heavy security.

A large number of his supporters left by the same train. They shouted Shahbu Bhaiya zinadabad slogans as well.

Shahbuddin was bought to Patna’s Beur Central jail under heavy security from Siwan last night and was taken to Rajendranagar railway terminus on the outskirts of state capital under security cover of special task force.About 15 commanodes led by a deputy SP rank officer are escorting the don of Siwan.

He is likely to be put in ward no 4 of Tihar jail,police officers said.From New Delhi jail,he would be taken directly taken to Tihar.  Policemen took prisoners’ van with Shahbuddin from Beur to Rajendranagar through Patna Bypass to avoid his movement on the main streets and avoided Patna junction for security reasons.

Shahbuddin’s shifting was ordered by Apex Court on two petitions filed by widow of a slain journalist,Asha Ranjan and Bachcha Babu,whose three sons were brutally murdered allegedly by Shahbuddin.They had sought his transfer to Tihar to facilitate witnesses to depose fearlessly in the cases pending against him.

Bihar ministers used to visit Shahbuddin in jail and had released their meetings in jail to media.Shahbuddin himself used to release his pictures in jail on social media.
