Chandigarh: India is ready to help Pakistan take action against terrorists in Pakistan, including in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday. Calling upon Pakistan to “close down the factory of terrorism”, Rajnath said the army’s surgical strikes on Pakistani territory was a “pre-emptive action against Pakistan”. “India does not have any ill will against the people of Pakistan. Pakistan has adopted terrorism as its state policy and harbours terrorists,” Rajnath Singh told a Regional Editors Conference here.

“I wonder, with the combination of Prime Minister who comes from Mahatma Gandhi’s home state, and I, Defence Minister, coming from Goa which never had any martial race, and surgical strikes. May be the RSS teaching was at the core, but this was quite a different kind of combination”
