Rahul looking for full-timers

New Delhi : Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is looking for ‘full-timers’ who can devote all their time for the party in the upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and then in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, saying serious political work cannot be done with the part-timers.

He expressed his views in a 3-hour long brain storming session in the party’s war room here on Tuesday with some 45 party leaders who also included former union ministers P Chidambaram, Kishore Chandra Deo, Kumari Selja and M M Pallam Raju.

The party leaders said Rahul also sought views on how to quickly change the party’s ‘over-centralised structures.’ He sought volunteers from those gathered for election work in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

He also shared his concern over a tendency in the Congress to neglect the party after coming to power.
