NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi will soon hold review meetings of the party in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to discuss the organisational weaknesses and take decisions to strengthen the party for the Assembly elections due in these states next year-end. Party sources said Rahul has already started the state-wise review of the party, but his first priority is to give attention to the states that go to the polls before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He has already completed the review of Odisha and Gujarat and other states on his scanner include Himachal that goes to poll this year end with Gujarat and Karnataka due for polls in mid-2018. Except for Odisha, the Congress has direct fight with the BJP and the party has already suffered repeated defeats in these states, warranting a new impetus to the party to recover from these setbacks.–FROM OUR BUREAU
